Veterans Fence & Supply stands behind every fence installation with a 10-year workmanship warranty. In addition, manufacturer warranty coverage may apply to the fencing materials you select. Coverage and terms vary by material, including aluminum, chain link, vinyl, and wood fencing. Review the information below to understand what is covered before your project begins.

MATERIAL & PRODUCT COVERAGE

Manufacturer Warranty

Many fencing products installed by Veterans Fence & Supply include manufacturer-backed warranty coverage in addition to our 10-year workmanship warranty. Aluminum fencing includes a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty. Vinyl fencing includes a transferable limited lifetime manufacturer warranty, and chain link fencing includes a limited 10-year manufacturer warranty. For wood fencing, the lumber supplier offers a micronized copper azole residential and agricultural limited warranty; however, the picket manufacturer does not offer a warranty on wood pickets. Manufacturer warranties are separate from Veterans Fence & Supply’s workmanship warranty, and our team is happy to explain the coverage available for your selected fencing system.

Workmanship Warranty

Veterans Fence & Supply warrants its workmanship for 10 years from the date of installation. This coverage applies to qualifying defects caused by improper installation that materially affect the function or structural integrity of the fence. If a qualifying workmanship issue is identified during the warranty period, we will inspect the issue and, at our discretion, repair or replace the affected portion of the installation at no cost to the original purchaser. Workmanship coverage is separate from any applicable manufacturer warranty and is subject to the exclusions and limitations in our full workmanship warranty.

Common Fence Warranty Questions

Understanding your fence warranty helps you protect your investment and know what to expect after installation. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive about workmanship warranties, manufacturer warranties, maintenance requirements, and warranty limitations for fence installations throughout Coastal Georgia and South Carolina.

  • Does every fence installed by Veterans Fence & Supply include a workmanship warranty?

    Veterans Fence & Supply provides a 10-year workmanship warranty on fence installations. This warranty covers qualifying defects resulting from improper installation that materially affect the function or structural integrity of the fence. Coverage is separate from any applicable manufacturer warranty and is subject to the exclusions and limitations in the full workmanship warranty, including limitations for certain gates and gate hardware.

  • What manufacturer warranties are available for different fence materials?

    Manufacturer warranty coverage varies by material. Aluminum fencing includes a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty. Vinyl fencing includes a transferable limited lifetime manufacturer warranty, while chain link fencing includes a limited 10-year manufacturer warranty. Wood fencing may include a micronized copper azole residential and agricultural limited warranty through the lumber supplier. Wood pickets are not covered by a manufacturer warranty.

  • What situations are not covered under the fence warranty?

    Workmanship coverage does not apply to damage or defects caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, neglect, vandalism, acts of nature, ground movement, erosion, settling, shifting soil, third-party damage, or modifications and repairs made by anyone other than Veterans Fence & Supply. It also does not cover normal wear and tear or manufacturer defects in materials.


    Veterans Fence & Supply does not provide workmanship coverage for 8-foot-tall gates, single gates wider than 5 feet, double gates wider than 10 feet, gate hardware, latches, hinges, operators, or access-control components. Removal of the Veterans Fence & Supply warranty sign voids the workmanship warranty.

  • How can I keep my fence performing its best after installation?

    Proper cleaning and routine maintenance help keep your fence looking and performing its best. For wood fences, Veterans Fence & Supply also offers staining and sealing services to help protect the fence from weather exposure.
